By Gayle Saunders

On November 30, 2008 two things happened. Plaxico Burress irresponsibly shot himself in the leg and due to that circumstance he turned boys into men within the New York WR corps. The Giants organization had to make a hard choice, how do you cut a productive go-to receiver, who does nothing but intimidate cornerbacks? No matter how tough the decision was, the Giants felt they made the right one. Read more

Playing the Matchups – Decision Maker

Here’s a list of defenses and what they have done through 3 weeks this season. I have listed their points allowed in each game as well as their highest and lowest amount of yards allowed. The Brick Wall – Ryan Clady

Brick-Wall

By Steve O’Reilly

In the 2008 NFL Draft the Denver Broncos selected Ryan Clady out of Boise State. A Boise St. Bronco became a Denver Bronco, a Bronco for life or so Denver fans hope! Through 19 games Clady has yet to yield a full sack, his only 1/2 sack came against Richard Seymour when he played for the New England Patriots in the Week 7 drubbing of the Broncs last season. Those incredible stats have earned Clady a share of an NFL Record with former Jets O-Lineman Ryan Young. Clady is humble and hard working and while he cares about his personal success, he would like to make Pro Bowls like any other player, he cares more about the Broncos team success. After all, Offensive Lineman never become O-Lineman for the glory it’s usually for the love of the sport. Read more

The West Coast Offense

The West Coast Offense was mastered by Bill Walsh with the San Francisco 49ers. Let’s look at some of the basic philosophies of this league altering system that Walsh created. He took knowledge learned from the offensive minds of Don “Air” Coryell as well as Paul Brown, Sid Gillman and Al Davis. Walsh blended those philosophies and created the West Coast Offense to win multiple championships with the Niners. What is the West Coast Offense?
