The Saints trade Jammal Brown to the Redskins

On Saturday The Washington Redskins and the New Orleans Saints agreed on a trade for Offensive Tackle Jammal Brown.
The Redskins will probably be sending their 2011 third- or fourth-round pick to the Eagles as part of the Donovan Mcnabb deal, which depends on his performance. Whichever one of those picks is not sent the Eagles way, will then go to the Saints, as well as a potential future late-round pick.

Albert Haynesworth wants out of Washington

Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has made it clear that he does not want to play for the Washington Redskins. He will most likely skip the team’s mandatory minicamp which starts today and has formally requested a trade, his agent, Chad Speck, told the media on Tuesday.
“He is frustrated that he was not used last year the way he was promised he would be and now the current organization is not one he would have ever considered a year ago,” Speck said.

Jim Burt Knocks out Joe Montana cold!

Montana went back to pass, looking for Rice. As he released the ball, nose tackle Jim Burt sent Montana flying backward to the turf, knocking him unconscious. The pass was intercepted by Lawrence Taylor at the 34 and returned for a clinching touchdown, 28-3. Montana, who had courageously come back in midseason from back surgery, was done for the day with a concussion and so were the 49ers. After the game, Burt said of the devastating hit, “It was clean, but I don’t feel good about it.”
