Like their 1994 showdown at Giants Stadium which was made famous by Dan Marino’s fake spike, this game was for first place in the AFC East as both teams entered the game with identical 5-1 records. But unlike the 1994 game which featured the Jets failing to hold a double-digit (18) lead in the second half, it was the Dolphins who failed to hold the lead.
The game is notable for having the second largest fourth-quarter comeback in NFL history and the largest comeback in Jets history. It was also voted the greatest game televised on ABC’s Monday Night Football.

On September 24th, 2000, after former Jets teammate Keyshawn Johnson claimed that comparing Chrebet to him was like “comparing a flashlight to a star,” Chrebet caught an 18-yard TD pass from Curtis Martin with 52 seconds left to give the Jets a 21-17 victory against Johnson’s team at the time (the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Joe Montana leads the 49ers to victory in Super Bowl XXIII
In January 1989, the 49ers once again faced the Bengals in the Super Bowl. Of his third trip to the Super Bowl, Montana said “This trip to the Super Bowl is more gratifying than the others because the road has been harder.” Then, in Super Bowl XXIII, Montana had one of the best performances of his career. He completed 23 of 36 passes for a Super Bowl record 357 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite his great performance, the 49ers found themselves trailing the Cincinnati Bengals 16-13 with only 3:20 left in the game and the ball on their own 8-yard line. But Montana calmly drove them down the field, completing 8 of 9 passes for 97 yards and throwing the game-winning touchdown pass to John Taylor with only 34 seconds left!

The “Bluegrass Miracle” is one of the most improbable finishes in college football history. It was a miraculous 74-yard game-winning touchdown pass by the #14 LSU Tigers with no time left on the clock against the Kentucky Wildcats on November 9, 2002 at Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington, Kentucky.

Greg Lewis leaped for a 32-yard touchdown catch with 2 seconds left while a flattened Favre watched from his stomach, and the Vikings stunned the San Francisco 49ers 27-24.
The Miracle at Metropolitan Stadium – Vikings Comeback vs Browns
December 14, 1980. The Vikings trailed the Browns, 23-22, with 14 seconds remaining in the game. They were on their own 20-yard-line and had no timeouts remaining. The ending is something you gotta see!
