Raw Video: Power Outage at 49ers Game
It was an odd night in “Monday Night Football” history, as the game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Pittsburgh Steelers was delayed twice due to a power outage. The utility company that supplies power to Candlestick Park still does not know what actually caused the power failure, which was caught on live television.
Tom Brady and his Offensive Coordinator have some words!!!
Tom Brady’s take on it:
“I threw a pretty bad interception, so he wasn’t happy about it,” Brady said. “A long line of coaches and players are pretty pissed at me after that, but Billy got to me first so I deserved it.
“We’re both pretty emotional guys so that’s what I deserve, you know?” he continued. “If you make bad plays, you are supposed to get yelled at by your coaches. This is not the first time and probably won’t be the last. It was just, you can’t do that in that situation and it was just a stupid play by me.”
Shortly after the argument, Brady and O’Brien were seated next to each other on the bench.
“I think this was a real competitive game, and we have a lot of competitive players on this team,” Belichick said.
