Week 10 is in the books and News Flash!!! I REPEAT, I REPEAT The Bengals are for real. The New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts are still undefeated! Oh and Bill Belichik forgot that he has a punter on the roster. Lets go around the league and give you the highlights of all this weeks games!
New Orlean Saints vs St. Louis Rams
Well it wasnt so pretty, but the Saints are still undefeated. Big ups to the St. Louis Rams and their running game. Steven Jackson has a whole lot of fight still left in those legs. The Rams have more in their tank than we thought! The Saints keep on marching in!
Atlanta Falcons vs Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers have there mojo back. Their running game is intact and most importantly Jake Delhomme is not turning the ball over. His relationship with Steve Smith is restored. They had some much needed quality time in the endzone. Atlanta had trouble getting things moving with Michael Turner and the Carolina Defense had something for Matt Ryan. Carolina looks like they want a wild card spot pretty bad. Carolina Panthers keep prrrrrrring as they roll with the W.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Miami Dolphins
Josh Freeman has got swagger, but the Miami Dolphins have too much fight in them. Just when you thought the rookie and the Bucs had this game won…think again. Dolphins pull out the W!
Jacksonville Jaguars vs New York Jets
The New York Jets are finding every way to lose a game. Turnovers have got the best of the Jets, and one has to ask, where is that Jets defense aka D-Rex we fell in love with? Maurice Jones Drew, as usual was a beast of a player, 123 yds and a TD. He could have had his second score, but he too is a smart player . Thanks for not being a stats whore MJD, as your fantasy owner im not mad at you!
Philadelphia Eagles vs San Diego Chargers
The San Diego Chargers got LT going early. He posted 2 TD’s that gave him 146 scores and moved him past Marcus Allen and into third place on the all-time list. The Philadelphia Eagles tried some last minute heroics, but came up short. Donovan McNabb passed for 450 yds and 2 tds. Brian Westbrook had his second concussion in his last 2 games. Philip Rivers and the Charger’s passing game was definitely effective, he was 20 of 25 for 231 yards and no interceptions, with a rating of 131.8. San Diego is charged and gunning for that playoff spot. Chargers win a close one!
Tennessee Titans vs Buffalo Bills
I REPEAT I REPEAT…This guy by the name of Chris Johnson (132yd and 2TDS) and another guy by the name of Vince Young refuse to let the Titans be a losing team. Fast fact…Vince Young is 7 for 7 in his last starts. Here’s to the Titans for getting things back on track.
Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals came up soft in the first half, the second half totally different story. They showed the Seahawks who the tougher bird was. Kurt Warner completed 29 of 38 for 340 yards and had two touchdowns. The Cardinals are heating up!
Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Well folks, the Bengals are for real! Their defense is playing sound ball, and hey in Cincinnati they also do “Special Teams” Bernard Scott’s 96 yarder was the only TD of the game. The Bengals have now swept the Steelers for the season and Bengals fans can beat their chests as king of the AFC North. Cincinnati let the Steelers know its time to “kiss the baby”
Dallas Cowboys vs Green Bay Packers
The Cowboys came into Lambeau field thinking two things. Either the Packers are the Packers who lost to the Vikings or the Packers who lost to the Buccaneers. I think they chose the Packers who lost to the Bucs, as Green Bays defense was superb and almost pulled out a shutout. Put it this way, the Packers may have just saved their season with that big W.
Chicago Bears vs San Francisco 49ers
With both teams seasons on the line, each team had a lot to play for. However Jay Cutler and his 5 ints (Yup that wasn’t a typo) didnt help the Bears cause. San Francisco pulled out a close one. The only thing we can definitely say is, the Chicago Bears look like their season is on the rocks.
Denver Broncos vs Washington Redskins
The Washington Redskins finally gave their fans something to cheer about. Who cares if it took a fake FG and a helluva of throw from Hunter Smith for a TD. Ladell Betts (114 yds and 1TD) filled in nicely for the injured Clinton Portis (like I stated in my fantasy pick ups) The Broncos lost Kyle Orton early and was replaced by Chris Simms, maybe thats why they came up lame in the second half??However, Brandon Marshall had a great day (5 rec 134 yds and 2TDS) Jason Campbell played well in the second half and kept the the offense moving when they needed it. Hats off to the coaching staff for coming up with the much needed trickery. The Redskins win big!
Kansas City Chiefs vs Oakland Raiders
The Chiefs came into Oakland looking to pull a W on the road. Jamaal Charles did his best impersonation of “Larry Johnson who” He played well with 103 yds and a TD. Oakland benched JaMarcus what that means to the his futire and confidence is yet to be seen. Their 1st round pick Darrius Heyward-Bey who has yet to show up, dropped a key ball to give his team a chance. Al Davis give your organization a future my friend, it might be time to retire.
New England Patriots vs Indianapolis Colts
Christmas came early in Indianapolis. The New England Patriots showed the Colts who was boss all the way to the moment Bill Belichik got caught up in his own ego. Any head coach from Pee-Wees to College to the NFL makes that call. You punt the ball when you are up 6 and on your own 28 with 2 minutes left in the game. Kudos to Colts Offense for milking the clock and Peyton and Wayne for being the savvy veterans and hooking up for the game winning score.
