Two things happened on Sunday:
1) Tim Tebow and the Broncos beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 2) Tebow earned himself $250,000 dollars!
Its nice that Tebow that has an escalator in the amount of $250,000 in his contract for every playoff win. The escalator was earned by reaching 70 percent playing time during the season.
On the year Tebow played in roughly 73 percent of the Broncos plays. After earning a cool quarter-million with the Steelers win, another playoff win could bring in another $250,000 if they get a victory in Foxboro.
Already this season, Tebow has earned 1.6 million dollars. If I’m a betting man, I know money is not the driving force for Tebow, but it sure puts the icing on the cake. Hats off to Tebow and the Broncos for their magical season.
Decker’s Knee Injury Will Keep Him Sidelined

According to the Denver Post the Broncos will not have one of their playmaking wideouts Eric Decker when they go up against the Patriots next Saturday night.
Decker was injured on a routine play, where he was hit low by Steelers linebacker James Harrison on an 18-yard reception early in the second quarter. After the hit, Decker fell to the ground and the catch was ruled an incomplete pass.
At first it was thought that Decker’s knee injury was more serious, but its been said that he has a sprain of the medial collateral ligament. Decker will have a MRI on Monday to determine a full diagnosis.
With Decker going down, Eddie Royal will step up in his absence. Royal is no slouch and the Broncos expect great things from him against New England. The Broncos are now left with Demaryius Thomas, Eddie Royall and Matt Willis to hold them down at the wide receiver position going forward.
After Sunday nights thriller with the Steelers everyone is quite sure that Thomas, who racked up 204 yards on 4 grabs, is ready for the challenge in Foxboro.
Changing the Game!
By Steve O’Reilly
Cam Newton and Tim Tebow just may be linked together forever, not in comparison with each other as many do but rather in conjunction. In regards to the NFL, conventional wisdom might be changing. It was long believed you couldn’t win with Rookie QB’s. The old saying is “rookies get you fired”, this isn’t the case anymore with a slew of recent QB’s who appear to have hit the NFL ground running. While Cam Newton hasn’t found success in the win column just yet, everyone I’ve talked to in the industry thinks we will be winner just fine. As for Tebow he might be the most important factor in this entire game changing movement, he’s winning with a style no one thought he could win with! What’s the common factor? We’ve see NFL QB’s that were mobile, that could run and throw, heck look at Mike Vick, so what’s the difference here? … speed with SIZE! Read more

Brandon Lloyd is feeling under-utilized

Just a year ago Brandon Lloyd lead the league in receiving yards, went to his first Pro Bowl, but nowadays Brandon Lloyd is feeling a tad under-utilized.
At the moment Lloyd has made it known that he wants to be more involved in the Broncos passing attack. Lloyd has never been one to not speak his mind as he’s already spoke with QB Kyle Orton this week. Lloyd said that he was “going to stand up for myself” on the subject when it comes to the team’s offensive staff.
Last week against the Titans Lloyd was targeted seven times, he hauled in four catches for 38 yards. He believes even though teams may roll safety coverage his way, offensive coordinator Mike McCoy must find ways to get him the ball.
“We know it’s coming,” Lloyd said, adding that if the Broncos want to feed him the ball they’ll design plays that work against those coverages. “And if they don’t, they won’t.”
Orton knows Lloyd is getting most of the defenses attention and is choosing to look for the open man versus forcing the issue and looking for the deep ball. Perhaps it’s the style of offense that John Fox is going with that could be slowing down their past offensive schemes. When the Broncos have had long, clock eating drives through the first couple of weeks its hard to be explosive offensively.
It looks like Orton may have to take some chances on some big plays in the next following weeks in order to get the Broncos over the hump.
Broncos Fans plan for Anti-Orton Billboards

Some people believe in customer service, and if the fan is a customer, why are’nt the Denver Broncos’ front office listening?
The fans have spoken, and when I say fans, I mean crazed fans have spoken. According to the Denver Post Jesse Oaks and a group of his friends have come up with the idea to purchase two billboard signs in Denver to get their point across.
The point they are trying to make is that Tim Tebow, other known as the chosen one, should be starting. Certain folks in the Bronco fan base may think different, but some are getting restless and believe a change at quarterback is imperative.
“We believe in Coach (John) Fox, we’re just tired of Kyle Orton,” Oaks told the newspaper. “We were sitting around after Fox said he didn’t hear the chants for Tebow, and we figured if he’s deaf, we hope he’s not blind.”
Oaks, who resides in Independence, Ky., reached out to various billboard companies and was told it would cost $10,000 if they bought two billboard spots. Oaks brought attention to a Broncos message board on Wednesday and is currently receiving emails from strangers who plan to buy into the billboard. Talk about a passionate fan base!!!

Rahim Moore blows up Donald Jones

The young Rahim Moore was fined $20,000 for this helmet-to-helmet hit on Donald Jones. Moore was hit with a 15-yard personal foul for the monsterous hit which happened last Saturday against the Bills. Now in time, the rookie will aim low, but with lack of training camp and live play its understandable. If I was a coach…this is exactly what I would like to see from a young safety. A kid who shys away from making the big hit, is someone you don’t want playing safety for you.
Broncos eyeing trade? Tim Tebow or Tim Te “No”

Just when the Tebow Era could begin, it looks like it may be possibly over in Denver. There have been rumblings that a trade could possibly happen, but it would have to happen sooner than later as his trade value is decreasing by the minute the longer Denver holds on to him.
Right now its not sure, if the Broncos are in fact looking for a trade partner. With the situtaion a bit complicated the Broncos aren’t openly saying they will trade Tebow, however they have open ears to offers. That doesn’t exactly scream we’re trading you, but it sure means they entertaining the idea.
Good thing Tebow is no Jay Cutler…we all remember the last time Denver entertained offers to trad one of their quarterbacks. How did that one work out? With all that being said, if a team wants Tebows services they have to make an offer that the Broncos cant say no to.
