(GS) Giants – Playing on the new field, the Giants owe the panthers for the can of whoop ass they put on them last year.
(SO) Giants – Home emotion carries the Giants even though they can’t stop the run! |

| Atlanta | ![]() |

(GS) Falcons – Without Big Ben this game could be exploratory in terms of Dennis Dixons ability to lead this team. Im not sold yet.
(SO) Falcons – No Roethlisberger, too much Turner |

(GS) – Browns – New mindset in town and the Browns may have some tricks up their sleeve with their wildcat package.

(GS) Broncos – Tebow is back in town…and the Jaguars will lose on the fact alone they didn’t draft the “chosen one” lol. Broncos play team ball and win the game with Good Defense, and small ball Offense.
(SO) Broncos – Jacksonville can’t get past Broncos secondary |

(GS) Colts – Although I have a great feeling about the Texans in 2010…Peyton and the Colts still look tough, and Manning will not get embarrassed the first game of the season.
(SO) Texans (Upset Special) – In Houston or I’d pick the Colts |

| Miami | ![]() |

(GS) Dolphins – Bills Offensive line still not impressive enough for me.
(SO) Dolphins – Bills don’t have enough weapons to hang |
|
| Detroit | ![]() |

(GS) Bears – Mike Martz will revamp the Bears offense…I dont think they showed their cards in pre season either. Look for Cutler and the offense to let it fly against the Lions D.
(SO) Lions – Out to make a statement this is a new era in Detroit

(GS) 49ers – Gore will get busy early and often and the 49ers will ride or die on Gores legs & back.
(SO) Seahawks – New Head Coaches always seemingly win their first one |
|
| Green Bay | ![]() |
![]() |
(GS) Packers – Im an Eagle fan you know this is hard for me…The packers Defense could potentially confuse Kolb. Aaron Rodgers looks pretty dam good. The biggest concern is the Philadelphia fans…they will boo early if Kolb displeases.
(SO) Packers – Too much Offense and Kolb presses in front of an eventually booing Philly crowd |
|
| Dallas | ![]() |
![]() |
(GS) Cowboys – Too much talent for the Cowboys, although redskins tend to play the boys pretty tough. Romo and the Cowboys have much to prove.
(SO) Cowboys – The New Head Coach rule doesn’t apply in this one, Cowboys have too much talent |

(GS) Ravens – Loved Hardknocks! But don’t forget that the Jets are not the only team geared up for a Superbowl run. Ravens look good.

(GS) Chargers – Look for a heavy dose of the rookie Ryan Mathews wouldn’t be surprised if he breaks 100 yds in his first game. Chargers offense as a whole still tough!
(SO) Chargers – No Jackson or McNeill? Don’t need them in this one |

BREAKDOWN – NFC West
By Steve O’Reilly
The NFC West is a Division that is wide open and depending who you ask, can be had by anyone. The Cardinals have the most talent, arguably, followed closely by the 49ers. The issue with the Cardinals however is Kurt Warner is gone and the new starter, Derek Anderson, leaves some a bit nervous as to how far he can take them. The Niners are young but made strides in 2009 and if they continue along that path they should be tough to beat, the issue with them is the same as the Cardinals, how much do you trust their QB. In their case it’s former 1st Overall pick Alex Smith. For the Seahawks, they brought in a new Head Coach from USC and some new players to boot but of all the NFC West teams they have the best Quarterback…when he’s upright! The St. Louis Rams also have a #1 Overall pick on their roster and he too plays Quarterback, his name is Sam Bradford and the kid from Oklahoma has been turning some heads. What lies ahead for all these West Coast squads? Let’s take a spin around the Division and break it all down!! Read more
BREAKDOWN – AFC West
By Steve O’Reilly
In the Wild Wild West one thing that is constant lately is change itself. The Chargers have been the stalwarts of the Division over the last half decade with the Broncos, Raiders and Chiefs constantly changing direction. Phillip Rivers and Co’ have played exceptional football in the latter half of every season he’s been in the league, to the point that he is Undefeated during his career in the month of December. Their late season charge coupled with the Broncos trend for a late season collapse has led to the Bolts owning the AFC West. This season, the Raiders seem to be catching some attention with a new QB and some continuity from the coaches. The Chiefs proud franchise is in a rebuild and Matt Cassel heads into his second year under the Scott Pioli regime. Gone are some Pro Bowlers, entered are some young Rookie studs but it appears as though the outcome will likely remain the same! Let’s Breakdown the AFC West! Read more

BREAKDOWN – AFC South
By Steve O’Reilly
For many years now the South has been under the rule of King Peyton Manning, he and his men have taken control of the Division in 2003 – 2007, the Titans took it in 2008, than the Colts again in 2009. That’s quite a while, but when you have great Wide Receivers, a great O-Line and a future Hall of Fame QB then you would expect nothing else. For the other teams, it’s really been a matter of how to knock them off their perch. The Texans have tried to build a team that can compete with them on an offensive level while the Titans are almost the exact opposite. Tennessee likes to control the game on the ground and play smart, ball control style offense that hopefully will keep Peyton on the sidelines. Jacksonville has tried to do with Defense and a solid running game as well. The problem is, no one has been able to do it yet, save the 08 Titans that went 13-3 and one game better than the Colts. So what does 2010 have in store for this Division? Standard operation perhaps but maybe not….let’s Breakdown the South!! Read more
BREAKDOWN – AFC East
By Steve O’Reilly
There have been some big acquisitions in the AFC East this year and most notably at Wide Receiver. The Jets stud Cornerback Darrelle Revis is still holding out in hopes to become the highest paid Cornerback in the league, the Dolphins added a Beast of a Wide Receiver in Brandon Marshall, the Patriots had one return from a major injury as Wes Welker is back and ready to go and the Bills drafted a speed demon at Running Back who could be the next Chris Johnson.
Let’s take a look around the AFC East, we’ll note some of the changes and provide some predictions!! Read more

Derrick Brooks has officially announced his retirement from the NFL, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will honor their iconic linebacker at a media gathering Thursday. Brooks confirmed his retirement with a message posted this morning on his official online video site, derrickbrooks.tv .
Often referred to as one of the most respected players in the National Football League, Derrick Brooks embodies discipline and demands commitment from his teammates. The unquestioned leader of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and one of the NFL’s best linebackers, Brooks started over 200 consecutive games. His ability to run down some of the league’s top playmakers led Brooks to becoming the most prolific tackler in Buccaneers history with over 1,900 career tackles. Read more
Derrick Brooks to make retirement official
Brooks will officially hang ’em up after what will one day be recognized as a Hall of Fame career. He was selected to 11 Pro Bowls and was All-Pro nine times. A former NFL defensive player of the year, he wears one Super Bowl ring. Brooks will likely follow Lee Roy Selmon as the second Buc to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame unless Warren Sapp beats him there.
