Pete Carroll Quiet on Starting QB

Right now head coach Pete Carroll says he has no timeline on who will be the starting quarterback.
I’m assuming Carroll is being very PC about what he says. Unless he is trying to get Matt Flynn to rise up to the challenge or not, you don’t give up that kind of money to bring in another qb and have him ride the pine.
The Skinny: Carroll insists on a QB competition in Seattle between Matt Flynn and Tavaris Jackson. Don’t forget the Seahawks also drafted Russell Wilson in the third round of the draft. With that being said look for the Seahawks to part ways with Jackson and name Flynn the starter by the start of training camp.

If you live in Seattle and you’ve been watching the Seahawks offense it’s a sure thing you might be “Sleepless in Seattle.” There is no way around it other than to keep it real. The Seahawks’ offense has been as bad as bad can get. That being said, Head Coach Pete Carroll is not putting the weight on his quarterbacks shoulders.
At the moment the only other team to have scored fewer points than the Seahawks are the Chiefs. The Seahawks have only scored 17 points this season and the Seahawks’ longest play from scrimmage this season is 17 yards. On the year, Jackson is averaging 178 yards passing a game. So far he has passed for 356 yards.
Coach Carroll puts his two cents on it.
“He’s pretty much taken what’s there and there hasn’t been a lot of situations where he’s turned down a big throw,” Carroll told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. “He’s done a good job of not forcing the football. He’s making good decisions in that regard and that’s why we have a real good thought about him and us moving forward.”
This Sunday the Seahawks’ go up against the Cardinals whose defense has gave up some major passing yards. The Seahawks passing attack could use a boost from Sidney Rice whose been out with a shoulder injury as of late. Hopefully Rice can help out his offense and play in his first game for the Seahawks ASAP.
