Kenny Britt to have 2nd Knee Surgery?
The Titans are hoping that their star WR doesn’t need to have an additional surgery on his right knee but there is a possibility. Britt, who had his right knee surgically repaired after tearing his ACL and MCL may be facing a scope and possible “clean up” surgery.
Head Coach Mike Munchak told the press in Tennessee,
“I think it always is (possible),” Munchak said. “I don’t know if he will at some point, but I think that’s something that’s common with that injury. Derrick went through it last year. The good thing is that even if you do have it, it’s not a huge setback. It’s not something that sets you way back. But that is obviously part of the process, or could be, if that arises down the road.”
THE SKINNY: While the knee hasn’t required surgery yet and no date has been set to have it scoped or cleaned up, it’s still something the team and Kenny would more than likely hope to avoid. As the Coach said, it is very common for major knee surgeries to have follow up procedures, but the more times you’re under the knife the more likely you will be delayed getting back on the field.
Pre Draft Visits: Tennessee Titans
By Gayle Saunders

League rules allow each team to bring in 30 players for predraft visits. No on-field work is allowed. The visits are simply an opportunity for the players to sit down with the coaches, as well as the personnel people, for any additional questions, football or otherwise.
Not every player accepts every invitation he receives, so teams don’t always get the first 30 players they requested. But coaches often will look at video with players to get a sense of their football awareness, or put them to work, marker in hand, on the dry-erase board to see how they dissect certain game situations.
One important fact to note from last years draft is, 21 of the NFL’s 32 1st round selections had confirmed pre-draft visits and/or workouts with the NFL teams they were selected by. So there is a good shot that he players below will get drafted if they’re on the board during the teams draft selection.
Below we’ll be updating the chart of pre-draft visits, if you have a player visit you’d like us to add to the chart leave a comment and I’ll add it. Thanks for your help in advance!

Tennessee Titans
Team Needs and Draft: Upgrading the interior of the offensive line is priority No. 1. The Titans could look to center or guard early in the draft or in free agency. At least one pass rusher also is needed. Defensive end Derrick Morgan is a hard worker, but he was drafted to get to the quarterback, and he only produced 2.5 sacks. If the Titans are going to throw more, they must add depth at receiver.

Steve Hutchinson Signs with Titans

Titans have strengthened their offensive line by signing offenisve guard Steve Hutchinson to a three-year deal worth $16 million dollars.
It looks like Titans have made it a priority to boost the interior of the offensive line. By signing Hutchinson, its a major upgrade over Titans current guards in Jake Scott and Leroy Harris. If you look deeper into the situation ESPN’s John Clayton believes that Hutchinson holds a clue to where Peyton will sign. Both Peyton Manning and Hutchinson share the same agent who is Tom Condon.
The Skinny: Peyton Manning may have had concerns regarding the offensive line before signing with Tennessee, and it looks like the Titans are down to do whatever it takes for him to sign. Whether its offering a “contract for life” Bud Adams looks like he’s closer and closer to landing Peyton Manning.
Michael Griffin Receives the tag
By Gayle Saunders

The Tennessee Titans have decided to place the franchise tag on FS Michael Griffin.
Previously it was reported that Finnegan could receive the tag, but the Titans chose to tag Griffin. At age 27, he has racked up 17 interceptions and seven forced fumbles in the past five years. The tag will cost over $6.2 million to keep Griffin a Titan in 2012.
The Skinny: The Titans saw Griffin as more of a priority due to the fact that there was depth at the cornerback position. Griffin represents the playmaker in the Titans safety unit and losing him would definitely hurt their ability do some of the things they wanted to do in 2012, since depth at Safety is a concern. This is a major sign that Cortland Finnegan is out the door.
Buccaneers Release Albert Haynesworth

Buccaneers have released DT Albert Haynesworth. That makes it his third team in a year that he’s been let go from. At $7.2 million there was no way he would return at that price.
With new coach Greg Schiano in the mix, its most likley he wasn’t interested in Haynesworth moving forward with the Bucs. Haynesworth failed to make his presence known in the seven games he played with Tampa.
It will be interesting to see if the Eagles will take a look with his buddy Jim Washburn still coaching in Philly. Haynesworths greatest days of football were under Coach Washburn, but at age 31 how much does he have in the tank is the question. The positive for the next team is you can now take a risk for a discounted rate.
