Well bad news for Titans fans as Kenny Britt’s Monday MRI confirmed that he has a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee and will miss the rest of the season.

He’s facing a lengthy rehab after reconstructive surgery. The good news is Britt has no history of serious injuries and just turned 23. He’s got a better shot to return at 100 percent than most players would.

With Kenny Britt gone for the season, fellow wideouts Nate Washington, Damian Williams, and Lavelle Hawkins will have to step up and make plays. Most likely the Titans will get tight end Jared Cook more involved in the passing game.

Looks like the folks of Jacksonville can let out a sigh of releif…The Jaguars have recently just enough tickets to lift the NFL’s television blackout. So fans will get to see them take on division rival Tennessee Titans.

In total the Jaguars have 1,400 non-premium tickets left for Sunday’s game. Senior Vice President in charge of slaes and marketing, Macky Weaver, says the Jaguars sold roughly 2,500 tickets in the past 24 hours.

Good news for the USO, 1,400 extra tickets were bought and will be given to them so that they can have a strong military presence for the NFL’s 9/11 tribute.

Last season the Jags were able to show all of their home games versus in 2009 when they blacked out a total of seven games.

Randy Moss Speaks to Young Inmates

Unfortunately Randy has had a first hand experience with being a troubled teen, however Moss is taking his negative past and turning it into a positive.

On the football field, Moss led the DuPont Panthers to back-to-back state championships in 1992 and 1993. He was a star at wide receiver and defensive back, returned kickoffs and punts, and was the team’s kicker and punter. In 1994, he was West Virginia’s Football & Basketball Player of the Year.

Off the field growing up in Rand,West Virginia, Randy Moss got into some trouble which paved the way for a slow start to his college career. It first started with a fight with a fellow student at DuPont High School that landed him in jail for 30 days. The fight caused Moss to lose his scholarship to the University of Notre Dame. Moss was expelled from DuPont and eventually completed his education at Cabell Alternative School.

The next year Moss failed a drug test which violated the terms of his probation, which caused him to lose his chance at a college career at Florida State University. Before Randy Moss even suited up for the Seminoles he was kicked off the team. He served an additional 60 days in jail for the probation violation

Moss took two college courses as part of his work-release program and transferred the credits to Marshall University, where he became a Heisman Trophy finalist in 1997.

With all that being said, last week the 34 year old Randy Moss had an opportunity to sit down with a group of inmates at the West Virginia Industrial Home for Youth.

Given his past, Randy’s words hold weight:

“Everybody is entitled to a mistake or two or three,” Moss said of his visit to the facility. “I don’t want them to think my road was easy. I’ve had some bumps in the road.

“I’ve been there. I’ve been where they are. I’ve worn those orange jumpsuits.”

Titans Execs advise Owner to give Young the boot

The Titans Senior management has spoken….and they believe its time to part ways with quarterback Vince Young. The only thing is…it’s Bud Adams final decision. At the moment Adams has yet to make a final decision on keeping coach Jeff Fisher as well.

Adams is well aware of the fact that Fisher will not stay if Young remains on the team. GM Mike Reinfeldt met with Adams and SVP Steve Underwood on Monday morning in Houston as Fisher finished up with physicals and held a team meeting in Nashville.

“I will make the decisions that I feel are in the best interest of the team,” Adams said in a statement released just before Fisher spoke to reporters Monday. “I do understand the time element involved and would expect to make these decisions in the near future.”

At the present time Fisher has one year remaining on his contract, and word on the streets is that he does not believe this team is a contender with Young on his team, according to sources close to the coach. Fisher will definitely not back down on the quarterback issue when he meets with Adams.

With Adams staioned in Houston, Texas most of the time it seems there has been a bit of a disconnect with what is going on in Nashville behind the scenes. Fisher has repeatedly stated his case and has said publicly that he wants to stay in Nashville.

If all does not work out in Tennessee look for Fisher to doing a year in broadcasting if he can perhaps get out of his contract or better yet a new coaching gig. With 16 years under his belt, Fisher is the longest-tenured coach in the NFL. Many teams will come knocking for his services

According to the Houston Chronicle right before the brawl between Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson and cornerback Cortland Finnegan, Finnegan got the attention of the Texans’ sideline and shouted out, “Watch this.”

The Houston Chronicle, got information from witnesses who saw the fight from the sideline, they claim Finnegan shouted out to the Texans’ bench right before the snap of the ball and then the fight broke out, which was in the middle of the fourth quarter.

The previous play before the fight, Johnson and Finnegan got pretty physical with each other, where Johnson shoved Finnegan in his back and Finnegan walked away.

The following play Finnegan set off the brawl on the next play by throwing a hard shove at Johnson’s neck and face mask at the line of scrimmage. Andre Johnson then preceded to rip off Finnegan’s helmet , followed by two punches to Finnegan’s head and neck. Both players wrestled to the ground, while Finnegan ripped off Johnson’s helmet before referees and players broke it up.

“I wish that I could take back what happened, but I can’t,” Johnson said Sunday. “I’m pretty sure I’ll be disciplined for it.”

This is the second time that Finnegan and Johnson have went at it. Last season, Johnson was fined $7,500 for bringing Finnegan to the turf by his face mask during a scuffle.
