HIT OF THE DAY: Eli Manning gets drilled by Jets Calvin Pace

The Giants Eli Manning sure had everyone worried after taking a series of brutal hits on a broken play in the second quarter of the Giants’ 31-16 win in the preseason opener Monday night. In the first game at the new stadium in the Meadowlands, Manning ran into his own running back, then became a bloody sandwich between two Jets defenders that left him looking like the famous picture of Y.A. Tittle with blood dripping down his face.
