Steve O’ vs the All Pro – Divisional Round!!

The NFL Divisional Round has started and now as they say, it gets serious! It can mean only one thing, you are that much closer to the Super Bowl. La’Roi Glover is holding a slight 2 game lead over Steve O’ and now every game is vital to decide who wins the battle! First let’s look at the matchups…

Saturday Jan. 16
Arizona Cardinals vs New Orleans Saints
Indianapolis Colts vs Baltimore Ravens

These two games are stories of teams heading in different directions. At one time not too long ago all the talk was about being undefeated, with both the Saints and Colts. Now the talk is about how they aren’t clicking on all cylinders heading into the playoffs. The Colts have had some issues in the post season when they rest guys prior to (1-4). The Saints earlier in the year looked unbeatable but over the last month have looked ordinary. The Cardinals but up a scoring bonanza against the “DPOY” led Packers and that was without Anquan Boldin. The Ravens traveled up to New England and gave Tom Brady and Co’ an ole fashioned beat down.

Sunday Jan. 17th
Dallas Cowboys vs Minnesota Vikings
New York Jets vs San Diego Chargers

For Dallas, they put the screws to their old friends the Eagles in the Wild Card Round and we must admit they look good on Defense. The Vikings once stellar running attack has lost some of its POP and now all the sudden they are passing team! Not a great formula for success, if you ask me. They do play very tough at home however so this should be a good one to watch. For the Jets, Rex Ryan has them in the bunker and it’s the US vs WORLD mentality. The “nobody is giving us a chance” speeches is getting Gang Green fired up, and they looked ready to play against the Bengals. The problem? They aren’t playing the Bengals! Instead, they face the hottest team in the NFL who went from 2-3 to 13-3. Led by Phillip Rivers, the Chargers are once again poised to make a deep playoff run.
