Week 9 is in the books and News Flash!!! The Bengals are for real and everybody these days is “kissing the baby” The Tampa Buccaneers and Raheem Morris got the monkey off their back thanks to a stellar performance from Josh Freeman…and yes folks the Saints and the Colts are still undefeated! Lets go around the league and give you the highlights of all this weeks games!
Carolina Panthers vs New Orleans Saints
You play to win the game…the great Herman Edwards once said. New Orleans has that kind of gutsy fight in them week in and week out. Drew Brees and Robert Meachem were clicking in the second half. The Saints Defense tightened up and when they needed it and once again the Saints are still undefeated.
Green Bay Packers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Green Bay needed to redeem themselves after taking a loss to Favre and the Vikings, However rookie Josh Freeman and the Bucs weren’t playing nice and used the Green Bay Packers as a stepping stone for the rest of the season.
Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars
If it takes an unknown Jaguars wide receiver with a hyphenated last name to win ball games for you… keep throwing Mike Sims-Walker the ball (6 receptions for 147 yds and a TD.) other than Maurice Jones Drew, Sims-Walker has been the only consistent play maker on the Jaguars offense.
San Diego Chargers vs New York Giants
When the New York Giants drop 4 straight games somebody is gonna start pointing fingers, however Philip Rivers maybe pointing the finger at himself saying “you should of kept me instead of Eli Manning”. The other person involved in the trade to get Eli Manning was Shawn Merriman who sacked Eli to to end the game. Karma Police anyone?
Tennessee Titans vs San Francisco 49ers
This guy by the name of Chris Johnson and another guy by the name of Vince Young refuse to let the Titans be a losing team. Fast fact…Vince Young is 6 for 6 in his last starts.
Here’s to the Titans for getting things back on track.
Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots
The New England Patriots showed guts and kept the Wildcat in check and Randy Moss showed you us why you don’t put rookie cornerbacks on savvy veterans.
Detroit Lions vs Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks defense came up clutch in this game picking off Stafford numerous times. Yes they really do play defense in Seattle.
Cinccinati Bengals vs Baltimore Ravens
Well folks, the Bengals are for real! Their defense is playing sound ball, their offense is finally clicking with a reliable running game in Cedric Benson. Marvin Lewis and the Bengals would like each and everyone one of the doubters to “kiss the baby”
Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles
The Cowboys and the Eagles battled down to the end. The Cowboys have gained much needed swagger. The win against the Eagles lets the rest of the division know who the number one team in the NFC east.
Arizona Cardinals vs Chicago Bears
With both teams at 4-3 both teams seemed to be at question. Kurt Warner and the high powered cardinal offense came to play lead by All-World Larry Fitzgerald. The Bears made things interesting late in the game but fell short. The only thing in question after the game is…are the BEars really who we thought they were?
Houston Texans vs Indianapolis Colts
Peyton Manning delivered another milestone performance, produced a second straight winning score, and the Colts found another unconventional way to win and that is why they are undefeated!
Washington Redskins vs Atlanta Falcons
The Redskins cannot put things together and on top of that they lost Clinton Portis to a concussion. Atlanta however could put things together, while devising a master game plan, Give Michael Turner the ball and watch him run for 166 yds and 2 TDs.
Denver Broncos vs Pittsburgh Steelers
The Denver Broncos are now losers of two straight and while the Defense has done a 180 from last year, apparently so too has the Offense. For the 1st time in a long time the Broncos did not have a rushing 1st Down and the they struggled mightly to score against the tough Steeler Defense. The only TD the Broncs could muster was on a Big Ben fumble that was returned for 6 the other way. The Steelers meanwhile played great on all three phases. They run the ball well, they pass well and they play great Defense. The Champs are the Champs until dethroned and right now the Steelers are looking good!
