Brady gets a Three Year Extenstion with Patriots
The Patriots have agreed to terms with Tom Brady on a three-year contract extension that will run through the 2017 season. Brady will receive a $3 million signing bonus and is scheduled to make $7 million in 2015, $8 million in 2016 and $9 million in 2017. Brady was scheduled to count $43.6 million against the salary cap in 2013 and 2014 before the extension but now will count $28.6 million in 2013 and 2014.
THE SKINNY: Now that Tom Brady hasn’t broke the bank it could allow the Patriots some much needed cap space for signing free agents or better yet…his go to receiver Wes Welker.
