Drew Brees: Beast of the Week (Week 6)

Brees or Brady, Brees or Brady, Brees or Brady…man this one was tough!
This one was very difficult, Tom Brady was…well Record Breaking! In the end we had to ask the question, what was harder…beat down the #1 Defense in the league or beat down the then 0-5 Titans? Here is the conclusion and how we came to it. .

If you've won 2 "I'm a Beast" honors throw your hands up!
The Titans are falling like a stone in the Pacific, for whatever reason their season got away from them. To make matters worse the Titans didn’t have their two starting Cornerbacks, Nick Harper and Cortland Finnegan were out with injury. So then we said, well Brady did it in the snow! Here is the deal with the snow, it’s actually harder on the Defensive Backs than anybody else. The Receivers and QB’s know where the playing is going and can prepare their bodies for the quick cuts on a slick surface. The DB’s meanwhile have no idea where the WR’s are headed and to make a quick sudden movement with no balance bracing for the snow, you’re slip sliding away…thank you Paul Simon. So, we concluded that while what Brady did was remarkable it was aided by weather and a bad team that was hurt.
Enough about the guy who came in second, let’s get on with it. Drew Brees was awesome! You want numbers, we got your numbers right here…23 for 30, 369 yards and 4 Touchdowns…what’s more impressive than that? His 156.8 rating and 12.3 average is what!
Keep in mind he did all this against a dominant defensive team that was undefeated when they came into the Big Easy! Brees carved em up and made it look easy when we all know it isn’t. As always to victor goes a plug, please visit DrewBrees.com and see not only a great football player but a great person! Enjoy the highlights of this Week’s “I’m a Beast”!!
