New York Giants vs New Orleans Saints
This is a playoff game in October! Both of the teams are headed for the playoffs and it could be sneak preview of the NFC Championship game…ok maybe we are getting ahead of ourselves. The question of this game is, how will the Saints handle the Giants front 7, especially the D-Line! The Giants boast the best 4 down lineman in football and know how to get after the QB. The Saints D’ isn’t any slouch either, averaging over 3 takeaways a game and against the Jets they scored more than the offense. We like the Saints to win at home with the deciding factor being their ballhawking Defense! More to come on this one…
Chicago Bears vs Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons and Bears will be another game that could be a future playoff matchup. The Dirty Birds need to keep pace with the red hot Saints while the Bears need to keep pace with the Vikings. The Bears have the luxury of the bye week and they also will play fast on the indoor turf of the Georgia Dome. The Falcons meanwhile are clicking! Roddy White went off last week and the 4 headed monster of Ryan, White, Turner and Gonzalez is a handfull for any defense. We like the Falcons to continue their winning ways and making the homecrowd fans happy!
Baltimore Ravens vs Minnesota Vikings
The Ravens are getting desperate for a win and that is never a good thing especially when you have to face them. They have regressed a bit on Defense allowing teams to move the ball much better than usual, especially against the run. The biggest problem for the Ravens has been their Secondary where Cornerbacks Fabian Washington and Dominique Foxworth need to step it up. The Vikings on the other hand have been playing like the Purple People Eaters of yesteryear. Jared Allen is a monster and the Williams Wall is swallowing up RB’s. Brett Favre and Co’ have been clicking and this will be a great test for the Ravens Defense. We like the Vikings to give Baltimore their 3rd straight loss.
Denver Broncos vs San Diego Chargers
The Broncos have been the suprise team of the season they have some good breaks and also have faced some QB’s who are normally sharper than they were against Denver…Tom Brady and Tony Romo to be precise. The Broncos defense is still much, much better than a year ago and they aren’t giving up many points, whether luck or not the bottom line is they are getting it done. The offense is led by Kyle Orton’s effecient play and Knowshon Moreno is starting to assert himself as the RB they thought he would be. The real story with Denver is Brandon Marshall who is finally going all out and proving to be a professional. The Chargers meanwhile are coming off a bye week and a loss to the Steelers the week before that. This should be a good game but we think the Broncos pull out another one and keep the experts scratching their heads!
