According to the Associated Press, Governor Andrew Cuomo is looking for millions of dollars of New York State funding to help keep the Buffalo Bills in western New York.

Retaining the Buffalo Bills is on Governor Cuomo’s list of “critical economic development investments.”

Its odd when you first think about that it, that the New York Giants and New York Jets both play in New Jersey, that leaves only the Buffalo Bills that truly play in the State of New York.

Right now, a specific amount has not been ruled on, as the team would be eligible for part of an $84 million fund to be shared by several economic development interests.

Going forward the Bills have some major upgrades that need to be done to their Stadium as well, and the team’s lease expires in 2013.
