LaDainian Tomlinson has found some suitors!

LaDainian
The most productive and elusive Running Back over the last decade finds himself with some choices as to where he will be playing in 2010. According to multiple reports, Tomlinson was “wow’d” by the Minnesota Vikings during his recent visit. Next up is the New York Jets who also see a spot on their roster for the talented Back.

In Minnesota, Chester Taylor played the primary back-up role to Adrian Peterson. Taylor showed enough skill at the position to test free agency and see if he could catch on somewhere as a feature back, or at least on a team where he would be used in a rotation. He found that team in the Chicago Bears. So the Vikings are looking for a productive Running Back who can catch our of the backfield, pick up blitzes (3rd Down Back) and provide enough production to spell Peterson when necessary.

The New York Jets find themselves in a position for a new back as well. Leading rusher Thomas Jones has recently signed with the Kansas City Chiefs to be their feature back. Last season, while starting a Rookie QB, the Jets ran the ball often and led the league in Rushing. Jones was a major catalyst for their ranking. He is tough between the tackles and knows how to pick up the tough yards. He is also elusive enough to run on the edges when necessary. The Jets did use a 2nd Round selection on a bruising Running Back from Iowa in Shonn Green. Green showed that he can be an NFL back between the tackles but lacks certain skills in the Passing Game and doesn’t have the explosive speed running off the edge. This is where LaDainian comes in, he would be the perfect compliment for Jets inside run game.

Jones is off to Arrowhead and Rex Ryan is looking for LT to fill the void!

There are also reports that say LaDianain might visit the Eagles and the Saints. He sure has options but in the end, Tomlinson will bring a ton of positives to his new team. He is a natural leader that other players will up to and he knows how to help his QB out. He can pick up blitzes, catch balls out of the backfield and still pick up tough yards if called upon. Anytime you can add a future Hall of Famer, it’s a good thing. Whether that team is in New York or Minnesota…that choice is LaDainian’s to make!
