Panthers WR Steve Smith donating $100k to Colorado Victims!

The Carolina Panthers Pro Bowl WR, Steve Smith has pledged $100,000.00 to the victims of the Aurora, Colorado movie theater shooting. He is looking to assist them with Medical expenses that were caused from the senseless act of a gun-man at the Midnight showing of the “The Dark Knight Rises”.

“As a father and husband I cannot imagine the pain and suffering the victims are going through,” Smith said Thursday. “My family’s hearts and prayers are extended to theirs, and I hope this contribution might assist in paying some of the medical bills that will help allow these families to move forward in this tragic circumstance.”

“Hopefully this helps a little bit,” he said. “From one NFL city to another, God bless.”

It’s a very touching and heartfelt notion by Smith and that’s the kind of leadership and willingness to helps others that the NFL is really all about.
