Talks between the Buffalo Bills and wideout Stevie Johnson are back on track, to bring him back to Buffalo.
Bills general manager, Buddy Nix touched on the topic of signing Stevie Johnson during a new conference on Monday.
Nix said that the Bills want Johnson’s services in 2012 and said that there has been talks between both sides in the past week. On the year, Johnson was the leading receiver for the Bills as well as the last two years. He will hit the free agency come March. Stevie Johnson’s numbers were solid this season, as he led the Bills with 76 receptions, 1004 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns.
Nix also added that the Bills are 3 or 4 players away from being competetive next season, and feels its imperative they bring in a pass rusher in the off season. Buffalo was 30th in the NFL when it came to sacks. The Bills ended up with 29 sacks.
