2009 Power Rankings: Week 14
  RK (LW) TEAM REC COMMENT
1 (1) Saints 12-0-0 A Week 15 home game against the Dallas Cowboys stands in the way of a 16-0 season.
2 (2) Colts 12-0-0 Indy took down the hot Titans, now they look forward to riding the Broncos into a perfect season.
3 (3) Vikings 10-2-0 Dear Bett Favre now is not a good time to play like your former self.  The other stat to be afraid of AP is only averaging 3.0 yds a game over the last 3 games.
4 (4) Chargers 9-3-0 The Chargers are hot and the Cowboys are coming off another December loss, Philip Rivers & LT look good right now, bad news for Cowboys fans.
5 (5) Bengals 9-3-0 They’ve clinched their second winning season since 1991.
6 (8) Cardinals 8-4-0 If Kurt Warner goes down…the season is a wrap.
7 (11) Packers 8-4-0 The Packers are trying to tell you something…They aren’t going anywhere but the playoffs.
8 (9) Eagles 8-4-0 If the Eagles take down the Giants this week, look for Donovan and the Eagles “playoff swagger” to lead them into the playoffs with heads held high.
9 (10) Broncos 8-4-0 The Broncos aren’t going anywhere just yet, With an upset in Indy Denver could keep hope alive. (cue Jesse Jackson)
10 (7) Cowboys 8-4-0 Its December, its christmas time, its time for presents, its usually when the Cowboys implode, but will history repeat it self?
11 (6) Patriots 7-5-0 The almighty Patriots are on the ropes and cannot afford to lose anymore games. Belicheck might be punting the ball on 4th downs with 6 point leads in the future…what do you think?
12 (15) Giants 7-5-0 The Giants may have new life, and it all starts with that running game and Brendan Jacobs along with a benching here and a benching there for inspiration!
13 (17) Jaguars 7-5-0 The Battle of Florida happens this weekend either way someone’s playoff bubble will be burst.
14 (19) Dolphins 6-6-0 Chad Henne is starting to heat up if and he’s bringing the Dolphins with him.
15 (12) Steelers 6-6-0 The Pittsburgh Steelers are playing like their name was “The Pittsburgh Aluminum Foils”
16 (13) Ravens 6-6-0 Where has that bad ass defense gone?
17 (16) Titans 5-7-0 Valiant effort over the last 5 weeks Titans!  Vince Young and Chris Johnson still have the 1 -2 punch to get them going again.
18 (14) Falcons 6-6-0 With no Matt Ryan an no Michael Turner this team is destined to get ready for next year. Get better soon guys!
19 (21) Jets 6-6-0 Mark Sanchez learned how to slide this week from Yankees coach Joe Girardi, maybe they should call in Joe Montanta to provide some tips as well.
20 (22) Panthers 5-7-0 The Panthers have dug themselves in the hole they lay in.   Well maybe Jake Dellehomme’s arm had something to do with it.
21 (25) Seahawks 5-7-0 The Seahawks need to get their acts together for the rest of the season in order for them to prepare for next season.
22 (18) Texans 5-7-0 The best 5-7 team in the NFL.
23 (20) 49ers 5-7-0 Mike Singletary should have went with Alex Smith along time ago.
24 (23) Bears 5-7-0 The best news in the win over the Rams: Jay Cutler didn’t throw an interception.
25 (28) Raiders 4-8-0 The Raiders just beat Cincinnati and Pittsburgh in a three-week span. Can somebody say Bruce?
26 (24) Bills 4-8-0 The Bills proved that popcorn doesn’t pop in Buffalo.
27 (26) Redskins 3-9-0 I don’t know if the Saints were just that lucky last weekend or the Redskins were cursed last weekend. Cough Suisham” cough
28 (27) Chiefs 3-9-0 The Chiefs are out their getting great quality reps and during the week the Front Office is monitoring twitter pages.
29 (29) Lions 2-10-0 The Lions are just trying to get through another season.
30 (30) Buccaneers 1-11-0 The Bucs Josh Freeman was 5 INTs away from helping his team win last week. Hey the positive he threw for over 300 yards.
31 (31) Rams 1-11-0 Injuries haven’t helped the Rams effort to win any other games.  Doesn’t look to promising the rest of the way.
32 (32) Browns 1-11-0 They have lost 10 straight home games, which is a team record. Not the kind of record you want to break. Here is to Brady Quinn and the versatile Josh Cribbs on getting this ship turned around this week.
